How to Travel

To reach Krabi by starting from Bangkok, there are 3 possible ways to make your trip to Krabi at different cost & time consuming.
By Bus -- Bangkok-Krabi by bus takes around 11 hours, so to make your travel less tired from the long day sitting, it's recommended to take night bus and arrive Krabi in the morning next day. All buses to south routes of Thailand will leave from 'Bangkok Southern Bus Terminal' or in Thai 'Sai Tai Mai'. It's located quite away from city center on Borommaratchachonnani road, so the easy way to reach this bus terminal is by taxi (also don't forget to estimate time for traffic).

By Air -- it's definitely the shortest travel, which takes 1.30 hours approximately. There're several option of domestic airlines flying regularly a day including Thai Air Asia, Thai Lion Air, Nok Air, Bangkok Air.

By Train -- currently Krabi doesn't have a train station, so to travel by train you need to stop at Surat Thani railway station - the nearest station to travel to Krabi (Bangkok-Surat Thani by train is around 11.30 hours). Then, heading to bus station of Surat Thani and buy bus ticket for route Surat Thani-Krabi, it takes only 3 hours to Krabi.

Travelling by train seems to be the longest journey from Bangkok-Krabi, so well prepare yourself for a time consuming journey. However, no matter how long it takes, "Krabi" is so worth destination to visit that you forget about distance.
